Central Otago Trip...

Sitting on this homeward-bound flight in my day-old undies and sipping on a cup'o'tea I can finally relax and reflect fondly on my Central Otago shenanigans. This was not possible at 9am yesterday, clutching my triple-lined sick bag with my head between my knees as we went round for a second attempt at a Queenstown airport landing. That aborted to the sounds of children screaming we re-routed to Chch and I hired a car for the beautifully scenic if epically windy against apocalyptic-style dust clouds drive back through to Cromwell.

Arrived early evening via Amisfield to collect some finishing trials (and a bottle of '15 Rose with a "you might need this" note from Steph

x) and slept off my still roiling feeling.

All good now anyway and got through finishing trials on three Rieslings, a Gris and the Gruner plus tasted through the 2015 St Bathans vineyard wines with the lovely vineyard owners and their 18month old (no, barrel halls are not child-proofed...) and finished with a South Island Cheese Roll dripping with oily deliciousness at the QT airport.

Looking forward to getting home.
