HB to QT..... name

36hours in Blenheim saw enough acid for a lifetime of enamel decay but the intensity of flavour was worth it. We were picked out before the rains came (I know, everyone says that) and the heat during the early part of the season has helped with flavour concentration and balance.  We are bottling our V13 Sauvignon Blanc in a fortnight so I can't wait for you to see that in another month or two so you can taste what I mean.

Now on route to Queenstown via Christchurch for a day of Pinot Noir initial blending and signing off the V13 Rieslings for bottling. The view out the window is superb - lush snow almost to the base of the mountains and a magnificent Aoraki Mt Cook above it all. I hope the wines look half as good.

Have a cracker day.

Jo

A day in the Bay on Tuesday saw the fruits of a spectacular 2013 harvest. Ideal ripening conditions, in the hands of a very experienced team, have produced really lovely wines. There is lots to look forward to.
